Youth Player Registration

REGISTERING FOR LACROSSE IS A 3-STEP PROCESS

You must register first with US Lacrosse and then return to this Registration Session to signup.  If you have not already signed up with US Lacrosse, please follow these steps:

STEP 1: Obtain current US Lacrosse Membership

  • IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT US LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP: https://www.usalacrosse.com/join  to go to US Lacrosse Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with US Lacrosse. Each player must have their own unique US Lacrosse confirmation number.
  • TO LOOK UP/RENEW A US LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP:  https://www.usalacrosse.com/memberlookup to go to US Lacrosse Membership Lookup.

STEP 2:  Return to this registration and proceed.

Later in this registration session you will need to enter the US Lacrosse Confirmation Code that you received in Step 1.

STEP 3: Then attend a 'Collection Night'

Parents are required to attend a GRALA-hosted Registration Night.  These nights will be held on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, March 12 | Yanmar Arena (upstairs) | 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 19 | Yanmar Arena (upstairs) | 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

During registration nights, we will be collecting the following:

  • Registration Checks (if you did NOT pay online)
  • DIBS Checks - 10U and ABOVE ($200 check made out to GRALA for EACH child. Checks MUST be made out separately as they will get organized by level once registration is complete. Thank you!)
  • Signed GRALA Codes of Conduct (will be posted online to download PRIOR to Collection Nights)
  • Signed DIBS Contract for 10U and ABOVE (will be posted online to download PRIOR to Collection Nights)

GRALA Fees

The GRALA Registration Fee covers the following expenses:  training aids, field supplies, balls, equipment, maintenance of equipment, storage of equipment, officials, coaches, arena rental, gym rental, field rental and league registration.

GRALA Registration Fee DOES NOT include: annual US Lacrosse membership dues, player’s gear/equipment or travel expenses

GRALA members will purchase a uniform for their players (boys 10U and older) through GRALA. It will be the players uniform to keep and should last for multiple seasons. It will be paid for along with registration. Cost will be $55 per player.  

DIB Deposits (collected at start of season)

Volunteer DIB Deposit $200 per child. DIB amount will be determined after registration is complete.

  • Our association needs volunteers to be successful. 
  • Volunteer opportunities primarily are before, during and after the Shootout event.  Other volunteer areas include score table and stat taking, field and equipment prep, concessions at Noble Hall host day, concessions at varsity games and other duties TBD by GRALA board.
  • If your family does not volunteer, the deposit check will be cashed by GRALA.

 

Required Gear

****Effective January 1, 2022, shoulder pads for boys’ field players must be designed for lacrosse and meet NOCSAE standard ND200.     https://www.usalacrosse.com/lacrosse-chest-protector-faq

Boys:  black helmet, lacrosse stick, gloves, elbow pads, shoulder pads, colored mouth guard and protective cup.  Cleats recommended.

Girls:  protective eyewear, colored mouth guard and lacrosse stick.  Cleats recommended.

 

Prior to registering your player(s) with GRALA, you will need to register them with US Lacrosse and be logged into your SportsEngine account that is linked to GRALA.  If you have a SportsEngine account for another sport (baseball, hockey, etc.) it will work for GRALA, you just need to link it/become a member.

Family Discount

Family Discount - pay full registration cost on two oldest youth children, then 50% of registration cost for remaining youth in the program.
